| Deaf Support in Third Level | 14/August/2008 |
Trinity College Dublin will host a pre college entry day for deaf and hard of hearing students as part of the DS3 (Deaf Support in Third Level) project. The day will consist of a series of presentations and workshops giving an insight into the college environment, and advising students on supports available to them in third level. The course will be presented in English and Irish Sign Language and is open to any Deaf or hard of hearing student who is in, or about to enter, third level education in Ireland. Students will also meet with others who have had the same experiences in an empowering and problem-solving framework. There is no cost to the individual student. | New Free Travel Pass Scheme | 5/August/2008 |
Plans for a new travel pass is to be introduced. No longer will there be a flimsy paper card, it will now come in the form of a credit-card type of card!
