Personal & Careers Development Workshops

The IDYA are happy to announce that they will be running a series of Personal and Career Development workshops around Ireland. The workshops will be carried out in 3 counties, Kerry, Cork and Donegal and will run over 2 days.

The first day will be focused on Personal Development and the second day will be about Career Development. You must  attend both days. Please read below for more information.

What is Personal Development and what will I learn?

A Personal Development Workshop offers you the opportunity to focus on specific difficulties with others who might be in a similar situation to yourself. For example, if you find it difficult to talk in social groups, or you may want to be more confident, this workshop can offer encouragement and help in overcoming the difficulties you feel.

It is also about discovering what life is about; regain your identity, rediscover your motivation, rebuild your self-esteem and make a positive and independence difference in your life. For the better!

What is Careers Development and what will I learn?

Careers Development is an ongoing process but here at the workshop you will learn how to assess yourself by finding out discovering and developing skills you have and which of those skills should you highlight on your CV, how to prepare a CV in a professional way that will make you stand out against others plus what you should do and shouldn’t do when applying for a job.

Where and when are the workshops?

Remember, you must attend both dates.

  • Cork City- 5th October & 16th November
